The Autumn Tag: Are You Ready For Sweater Weather?

Do you love autumn? I absolutely do. It is my second favorite season. My country always has super hot summers, so I always wait for autumn. Anyway, I saw people in the book community doing this autumn tag and I thought it was pretty fun and wanted to do it myself! So, here I am today. This tag was created by Jenn @Jenniely. Check out their post and their amazing blog.

1. Hot Chocolate — what is your comfort book? β˜•

I have two comfort books as it’s super impossible to choose one. They are Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli and Red White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. I love them because they calm me and they are my absolute favorites. I can always pick one of these up whenever I’m kinda out of sorts.

2. Pumpkin Carving– what is your favorite creative outlet? πŸŽƒ

I haven’t talked about it before…but I love writing stories on Wattpad. They suck (and I guess I’m ashamed to talk about my stories on my blog for some reason…) but writing helps me so much. And I really love it.

3. Falling leaves– changes that appear bad but you secretly love πŸ‚

I’m not sure how to answer this. There are so many changes that appear bad and I don’t love any of them at all lol.

However, I guess I find it extremely difficult to move on… But I know deep down that it’s good and healthy and provides you new opportunities. I love the fact that it helps you form a different notion about something. I don’t know if it really makes sense, but to me it does.

4. Pumpkin Spiced Latte– something you love that others tend to judge β˜•

My reading choices. I read a lot of Young Adult books and some people I’ve talked to do not consider them genuine. They always act condescendingly towards me when I announce my reading choices with pride.

Also, one of my favorite series of all time is Twilight and a lot of people think it’s funny to have Twilight as one of your favorite series when you read a lot of books. I mean, I do know that it’s problematic, and I do not recommend it to developing brains… but that doesn’t stop me from loving it.

5. Bonfire Night– what makes you explode with joy?

Listening to music, reading my favorite book, watching an amazing movie, talking to my not-that-little brother and watching the videos of my favorite band.🀩

6. Friday Night– favorite scary book or film?

I don’t have a favorite scary book or movie. I am someone who gets spooked extremely easily.

I am not scared of ghosts (I mean I don’t believe in any of this creepy supernatural shit). I’m scared of my own brain because it shows weird things to me after I watch a spooky movie.

I watched Final Destination 2 (?) a few days ago on TV with my brother, and it had a scene in which a woman gets her head cut off in the elevator, and I was so scared even though I had my eyes closed through that scene… And then I had a nightmare related to it. I guess I just announced it to everyone how big of a chicken I am…but that’s how I am. I just can’t watch anything horror. I’m sorry. πŸ˜‚

7. Halloween candy– favorite thing to eat

Ah! I really need to eat healthier because of my anxiety. So, I would say pumpkins, popcorn and and sweet potatoes. It is boring, I guess? However, my favorite thing to eat during this time (or any time) is a snack called samosa. It’s a fried pastry with veggie or meat filling. I am vegan (mostly) so I always get the veggie one. It’s not too autumn-y, I guess?

8. Scarves– your autumn must-have accessory

Do shrugs count? I just love them.

9. Fire– a book or film that burns your soul

Is there any book or movie that burns my soul? I don’t think so. I don’t have any book. Yet. I’m looking for it.

10. Toffee apples– a book or film that seems one thing but has a different inside

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee. I had really thought it was a cute historical romance but it instead was so much…more. It talked about homophobia, physically abusive parenting and addiction. And nobody talked about it. I ended up enjoying it enormously, so it’s an amazing thing, innit?

So, that’s all. I don’t want to tag anyone. But if you see this and like it, just do it. It’s fun, right?
