Getting rid of some books on my TBR

Hey everybody! A few days ago, while doing a tag, I had to open Goodreads and look at my TBR, and I was surprised by the amount of books I have on it– books that I don’t even want to read anymore, and that’s mostly because I’ve just lost interest. So, I wanted to get rid of some books on my TBR and write a blog post about it. I don’t think I can get rid of all of the books today because I’m short on time. I may have to delete some of them later, and I’ll probably write another post some time! So, let’s get started, shall we?

If I’m Being Honest

To be honest, I don’t remember why I had added it to my TBR to begin with. I don’t like such kinda stories, so it has to leave my Goodreads shelf.

Truly Madly Royally

I actually wanted to read this one because of the world “royally” in the title and I guessed it would be about royals, but I lost interest some time later!

Lovely War

This one is really interesting, and I really like Greek mythology and historical romances, and I guess it’s a story set during the World War II and is narrated by Aphrodite? I could be wrong, but that’s what a recipe for a good book sounds like, but honestly, I just don’t wanna read it now. Maybe I would have, if there weren’t so many other books to read.

Descendent of the Crane

Is it long? Maybe that’s why. Not interested at all.

If I Was Your Girl

So, it has been on my TBR for the longest time, but a few days ago, I read something controversial about the author on Twitter, and I don’t know how true that is but it just makes me not want to read her books.

Dead Girls

I loved Abigail’s Golden Boy, but this one seems really dark. And I don’t wanna read a book that can mess with my brain.

Teen Titans: Raven

Breakable

Easy, as a romance was alright, but I don’t want to read Breakable, which is the story of the male lead of Easy. I think it’s gonna be dark.

The Grace Year

I never wanted to read it. I don’t know how it ended up on my TBR. Maybe curiosity.

Awk-Weird

Find Me

I loved Call Me By Your Name. I even adored the movie, even though it was kinda creepy. But I really think this sequel is unneeded, and I won’t read it. At all.

Confess

Twice in a Blue Moon

Six Goodbyes We Never Said

The Universal Laws of Marco

To be honest, I really want to read this book. But I just can’t find it in any bookshop or online. So, the right thing to do is to get rid of it from my TBR.

Can You Keep A Secret?

The Bromance Book Club

The Arrival of Someday

I had liked the blurb of this book, but I’ve lost all interest. What was it about anyway? Cancer? Not sure anymore.

Frankly in Love

I disliked the writing style of this book. I don’t think I’ll be finishing it.

Say You Still Love Me

Birthday

Well, again, there was some controversy about the author as I already said. And I don’t want to read it anymore.

Infinity Son

The Unhoneymooners

Like A Love Story

I had received a copy of it, but I’ve already given it away. I am not interested in read it anymore, but I think it’ll be amazing?

So, these are all of the books that I’m getting rid of. I don’t see myself reading them any time soon, or ever.

Do you have books on your Goodreads shelves that you don’t wanna read anymore? Let’s talk about them in the comments!

  1. I think my TBR contains books that I’m no longer interested in reading! Great that you were able to remove some – I do want to read The Grace Year at some point as it sounds like an interesting concept.

  2. You got me with the Greek mythology! Will be searching about that book after this 🙂

Confess is something I wanted to read also. Anything Colleen Hoover actually! It Ends With Us is my favorite 💖

    1. I hope you love it! I actually wanted to read it for a long time and I would have but I just lost interest eventually :(. I found the blurb really interesting though! I want to read It Ends With Us. I’ve never read anything by Colleen Hoover and I guess it’s high time I read some of her books!
