Hey guys, it’s time to wrap up the month. I hope you’re enjoying the New Year’s Eve and I wish you a lot of happiness and prosperity in the new year. This time of the year is always a bit bittersweet for me. Nonetheless, I’m very excited to welcome the year 2020! β€
Today, I’m gonna talk about the books I managed to read in December 2019. I did not read as many books as I would love to, so I’ll try to rectify it in the month of January.
The Gentleman’s Guide to Getting Lucky by Mackenzi Lee
It was a cute and funny romance novella in the Montague Siblings series, and I really, really had fun reading it.
My Rating: πππ
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
I really enjoyed the first book in The Raven Cycle series, which is The Raven Boys. I loved the story and the characters so much. I’ll definitely be continuing to read the series.
My Rating: πππππ
The End of the Fucking World by Charles Forsman
I read the graphic novel before watching the Netflix series of the same name, and I was really disappointed. I thought it had a lot of potential but it was wasted. I did enjoy the series a lot, though!
My Rating: ππ.5
Mooncakes by Suzanne Walker
It was such an adorable and heart-warming story that I enjoyed greatly. I loved the characters, the plot, and the art so much.
My Rating: πππππ
The Gift of the Magi by O Henry
I got to reread my favorite Christmas-time short story by O Henry after a long time and I enjoyed it. It’s still so beautiful and romantic.
My Rating: ππππ
Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata (DNF)
I came to know about this book through YouTube where I saw my favorite BookTuber Ariel Bissett talk about it. It’s a best-selling Asian translated novella. Despite the intriguing premise, I couldn’t enjoy this one and had to DNF it.
My Rating: π
So, what about you guys? What did you read in December? Let’s talk about it in the comments.
thats a lots of books for one month haha. good job. In December I was reading only non-fiction and I am reading a collection of books about ancient civilizations (Egypt, Greece, Rome, Maye, Vikings and etc.)

Haha, thank you! All of them were super short except one. Ahh, that’s very intriguing. I don’t read a lot of non-fiction but I would definitely want to check some of it out.
