Hey everyone! It feels like I haven’t been spending a lot of time writing on my blog lately — I’ve just been a bit busy with other things. Today, I decided to do a five-star prediction post. I’ve been meaning to do it for a while, and now’s the time! So, without further ado, let’s talk about five books that I think I’ll give five-stars in 2020.
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
This one is a classic, and I do believe I’m gonna end up giving it a five-star rating to it because it’s kind of relatable even though it’s old, and I really think I will enjoy it. I do not love reading classics unlike a lot of people in the book community, and I usually don’t read huge books and this one is pretty big but I’m still gonna read it! I had started reading it, but I ended up picking up other books and webtoons before even finishing 10% of it, but I’m gonna pick it up again sometime later and I guess it really will be my five-star book!
Loveless by Alice Oseman
You won’t believe how much I actually love Alice Oseman. I love Heartstopper comics. I loved Radio Silence. I’m gonna read two of her novels that I’ve been meaning to pick up for months now and I’m hoping to love them both. However, I really think I’m gonna enjoy Loveless and give it 5 stars! I have a hunch, and I really hope this novel lives up to my expectations.
The Hand on the Wall (Truly Devious #3) by Maureen Johnson
I have been waiting for this book to come out for almost a year! I had read the first two books in this trilogy in March last year, and boy did I love them! I needed answers, and I still need them! I’m thinking about reading the first two again before it comes out…it’s just a few days! Anyway, I really think it could surprise me and become one of my favorites, and this series could become one of my favorites of the year or all-time!
The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis
I have no idea what this book is about… I had read the blurb some time ago and I think it was about rape culture and feminism, and from the reviews I’ve seen on Goodreads, I’m guessing it’s gonna be wonderful! Also, it’s super hyped and a lot of people talk about it, and I really am excited to read it. I really think I’d end up giving it a five-star rating, and I think I would enjoy it!
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
If there’s one book everybody on here loves, it’s The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and I am intrigued! I had started reading Daisy Jones & The Six. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy it and had to put it down, but I really think this one’s got that potential to be my favorite! It’s so hyped, and everybody I talk to loves it, and all the reviews I’ve read of it are positive. I just can’t wait to see how much I enjoy it.
